Fast and agile.
La Dolce Vita ‘58.
We created a bike able to make you feel light and agile, thanks to a single gear hub. And we wanted to make you feel comfortable riding a city geometry frame. We chose for you five shades of color and we picked out every detail for a 100% Made in Italy design and creation. 1958 is the beginning year of the La Dolce Vita in Italy. Ready to start this journey?
The freedom to be single.
The model implements only one possible gear with a freewheel mechanism. The light weight of the hub and a small number of components allow you to move in city traffic easily and speedily. Ordinary maintenance is almost nothing. La Dolce Vita ‘58 is always ready to take your orders.

FREE WHEEL.
One word. Ease.
Lightness and ease in mechanism and maintenance. One single speed, one single gear, one single chain ring. The wheel is free. Your '58 is essential, light but unstoppable.
FREEWHEELING
Go biking, it will follow you at the speed you decide and when you’ll be tired you can stop doing it, the bike will proceed its run. You can also play a little, pedaling backwards as you did when you were a child, nothing will stop you.
IDEAL FOR THE CITY
Aluminum hub 36 holes with low flange. So your wheels are less rigid and more performing to accommodate the city bumps. The 30-click and 20-teeth gear works in unison with the 46-teeth crank, allowing a gentle and soft ride ever since the first ride. No more effort in the restart at the stops.
THE COLOR.
A double soul. Glossy and matte.
The hazy matte paint and the audacious glares of the shiny one. We created it for you: sensual and daring like the years of the economic boom which it’s inspired.
Get in saddle and devour your way.
Massimo, painter. Forty years of experience.
THE ART OF HANDMADE.
La Dolce Vita never compromise. We use the historical technique of painting masks. No stickers. The hands of our craftsmen apply the masks, then create the magic of color with the airbrush.
Dedication, patience and love, find them all on your ‘58.

There’s room for everything.
Tested for 25,000 km at the most of its capacity: 20 kg. The hard oxidation treatment protects the parts exposed to rubbing with the bags. Simply massive in every aspect.
DEDICATION AND PASSION.
Our minds. Their hands.
Aldo welds frames since 1968. Luigi has been at his side since 1982. As brothers at work and in private. We chose them to hand-weld the frame of your '58. Precision is their watchword. Matilde is their main promoter, she takes care of every order. An inseparable trio, just like the welds they put in place.
Luigi, framework. Forty years of experience.
PERFECT FUSION.
We don’t use TIG welding because it directly melts the tubes of the frame weakening them. We use microfused welded junctions with the braze welding method. The alloy penetrates by atomic diffusion in the intergranular structure of the pipes, creating a perfect fusion to dampen the vibrations. You’ll be free to go wherever you want.
Silvano, engraver. Forty years of experience.
OUR SIGNATURE.
Silvano, 43 years of etchings. His hands are his caliber. We entrust him with the task of engraving on your '58 our warranty seal: the Scatto Italian logo on the fork head. It's not just one frame, it's a Scatto Italiano frame.
MANUAL LACING.
Andrea grew up in the lab of his father Roberto, who inherited his passion for bicycles from his father Augusto. Andrea is responsible of hand lace the wheels of your '58. Nobody hand-lace anymore, but we want to do it. No machinery, just a lot of passion and a lot of love, just like back in date.
GPS ANTITHEFT TRACKER.
Always on your watch.
Keeping your bike safe is easy with Sherlock. Connected to your phone via an app, it geolocates your '58 at any time and alerts you immediately at every movement. A unique tracking code allows law enforcement to locate and find it. You'll always know where it is.
