Quassim wanted to meet Scatto Italiano in first person, in the Atelier in Milan. Shaking hands is a very important act, as well as looking at each other to understand tastes and passions. It’s the part that Scatto Italiano loves to do most in the design of a Customized Italian bicycle The One. Know each other. It is from here that we start to create the magic “The One”.
Before starting the design process, a long research was carried out on the places of origin of Quassim. The fascinating contrasts of the city of Doha became the main point on which we based the entire design. Tradition and touches of the past, mixed with a modernity full of desire of a tomorrow still to be invented. We have transposed this concept into Doha, a customized Italian bicycle The One with a taste of craftsmanship mixed with components made with the latest techniques. The Scatto Italiano wooden handlebar, together with the hand-welded frame, painted with the ancient technique of painting masks, represent past’s traditions. The aggressive character of the high-profile H+Son wheels, the black crankset and the CNCe levers represent modern technology.
