Scatto Italiano

Fernandel is inspired by the Italy of the 50s/60s and the film Don Camillo, in which the homonymous parish priest faces the daily battles of his small village, where he lives on his inseparable bicycle.

Commissioned by the Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani Institute, the Fernandel line is an ode to the Italy of Don Camillo’s film, to the slow time of the small villages in which it is set, to the italian spirit to enjoy the life, to the magic that postwar Italy was preparing to pursue.

So the color combinations of Fernandel are classic, but the colors themselves are sparkling, all metallic. The shapes are pure and the components chosen have clean lines, but Fernandel is rich in details and refined finishes. The materials are instead those of tradition: steel and wood. The processes are traditional too: fenders and handlebars are entirely handmade.
