Barra and Café Racer are made by Antonio’s hands. His father Giovanni, a close friend of the famous cyclist Bartali, produced handlebars and wooden rings for him. Giovanni itself has learned to work wood from his father who founded the historic laboratory in 1946. Behind Barra and Café Racer there are three generations of care, love and pure passion for wood.
As a warranty seal, each handlebar is branded with the Scatto Italiano logo. Strictly one by one and naturally by hand.
The use of latest-generation CAD/CAM machinery guarantees that shape and tolerances are impeccably perfect. The craftsmanship of all the remaining processes makes your wooden handlebars impeccably unique.
We choose the chocolate strips of the heartwood one by one, to be mixed with the vanilla ones of the American Walnut wood, so there will never be one handlebar identical to another one. All this, combined with the inestimable handwork during every process, makes each handlebar a real collector’s item.
